Read with great interest, reports that the French  President, Emmanuel Macron has said he will forgo the pension usually received by former French Presidents, of 6, 220euro per month.                                                                 President Micheal D Higgins currently receives a 1,581.66 euro per month pension from the contributory pension. If past and current figures are anything to go by, he will at the end of his second term be getting more than an extra 37,754 euro, to his Presidential pension. In addition to the above, Perhaps he might like to follow the example of the French President. What do you think readers?
