Domestic laundry logic, or the lack thereof?

So, there you are, working on the principle of the logic of reduced movement; You have your washing Machine and Dryer, located side by side, next to each other. Fab, right? Except every time you empty the washing machine and go to place the laundry in the dryer, you have to fight your way around either, the washing machine, or the dryer door to do so. Not funny when you are handling a queen or king sized duvet.

So, question is, why cannot the makers of these machines, produce opposite doors on these machines?

And yes, you have guessed right; Just fresh from said battle of the laundry machine doors, yet again!
