In the story of, “Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves” Ali Baba uses the voice command “OPEN SESAME” to have the door of the thieves’ cave open on his request to do so!
Now an intriguing question is, was the author (note, Author Unknown and original source unknown.) simply using their own imagination, or could it be an early version of the trick of using a string of bottles filled with different levels of water, to create a musical instrument responding to the voice of a person singing behind them?
So did the door really open to the command “Open Sesame!” And will that same tricks phrase, work to have the Labour Party be the Governing Party in Ireland?
