Considering that very few, if any, Local Authority Tenets, would ever have thought of seeing themselves in the position, of being effectively a Landlord. they would hardly have concerned themselves with the notion of insuring themselves as such, in respect of their personal space and it’s usage. And the dangers of being sued for multiple potential third party claims, by clients sharing, moving around, and using the property.
So riddle me this, will such Local Authority tenets, be able to secure appropriate insurance at a reasonable cost, and what are the Government doing to ensure that they can?
